There was a King in Thule,
Faithful to his grave
On her deathbed, his beloved,
gave him a golden goblet.
It was the most precious thing for him
he drank from it during his every meal,
his eyes would start to tear
so often he drank from it.
When the time came for him to die,
he counted all his wealth
gave everything to his heir, except for the goblet.
He was sitting at the royal banquet
with all his knight gathered around,
in his forefathers grand hall
in the castle by the sea.
There he was standing the old drunk
drinking the last life's glow
he threw the holy goblet
down into the sea
He saw it fall, drink and sink into the sea.
His eyes started to close
and he never drank a drop anymore.
