I was once a child, just like you
But the darkness swallowed me whole
Made me fall into the shivering depths
I froze, but now I am free.
I’m a voice that was silenced for hundreds of years,
Left by the cold, in the form of tears
A lump in the throat, but now I am free
And I freeze your fragile souls.
As I rise from the ripples, slippery as ice
Insane as I break into a wavering dance
I no longer belong to him.
I am the lady of the cold
Out on the prowl, in a mischievous game
Made to torment, roam amongst humans
As I freeze you, rip up your chests.
Paint your bright world black.
I’m the poetry of broken hearts.
I am the lady of the cold.
