He's alone, no-one comes to talk
At the schoolyard he watches what everyone else does
He's listening, they're yelling at him
He feels like talking but puts a hand over his mouth
The guys smoking cigarette laugh and point at him
When they walk past they might kick him on the legs
It's better to be invisible and quiet
And never join that race
When he steps into the stairway of his house
Deep inside his heart is hurting
Dad is drunk already, mom's nowhere to be seen
You can't give up yet, you must keep going on
Tears are running down his face, he can't understand his destiny
Soon something deep inside him breaks
So many questions
But no-one's there to give him answers
In the corner of his room he asks God:
"Where is heaven? Where is God?
When the herd's not moving from it's place?
Where's the king who will free us all?
Where is heaven? Where is God?
When the herd's not moving from it's place?
Where's the king who will free us all?"
He sneaks out of the window so dad can't see
Even if he never saw him again, he won't miss him
Now it's their turn to pay for the scars
He's packed his bag for the journey
He's got no friends, only a pen and some paper
He just wants others to understand better
Then he attaches the message on the railing
Gets up on the rail, jumps and the river swallows him
Then it hits, the phone rings
Mom answers and breaks apart
So many questions
But no-one's there to give her answers
On her knees he asks God:
"Where is heaven? Where is God?
When the herd's not moving from it's place?
Where's the king who will free us all?
Where is heaven? Where is God?
When the herd's not moving from it's place?
Where's the king who will free us all?
Where is heaven? Where is God?
When the herd's not moving from it's place?
Where's the king who will free us all?"
