When I saw the clouds
Drawing shadows on the leaves
I thought that shells
Were wandering in the sky
But today I know that they have
Nothing but snow and rain on their cotton
I've looked at them more than once
Gathering above me
I've looked at sky from both sides
From its days of glory, of truth
And it's so sad to think
That I've learnt nothing at all
I wanted to let my heart
To dance the happiness' dancing
I thought that love was born
In a fairy tale
But today I know that one must,
Often, get out of a very warm bed
Smiling, in order to hide
What one have given
I've looked at love from both sides
From its days of glory, of truth
And it's so sad to think
That I've learnt nothing at all
Realize each morning
That one hold the world in the hands
Full of pride and ambition
Friendship as a song
And then some indifferent friends
That tell you "You've changed"
And the wisdom that one've acquired
And what's lost
I've looked at life from both sides
From its days of glory, of truth
And it's so sad to think
That I've learnt nothing at all.
