They burned "grönan" and the school stands there alone
The bicycle stand is empty still, even though the breaks are over
They cut down the chestnut trees in the alley in front of the schoolyard
And I move quietly dont belong here, I'm the apparition
I don't know why, but maybe thats why I remember it so well
Your big eyes, your tan hands, your sharp knees
Was it you I saw, like a shadow from my dreams
Was it you I saw, you who I swore never to forget
They're digging in the park and the frost in the ground, becomes a defense
And by the corner of the church where the railroad is, they've sealed off
Someone lies in the grass, with frosty clothes, so calm and white
and the police lights flashes, think of what you can do with a small knife
And I don't know why but I always return here
There was probably something we did, something we said here that changed my life
Was it you I saw, like a shadow from my dreams
Was it you I saw, you who I swore never to forget
Was it you I saw, like a ghost from dead dreams
Was it you I saw, have I finally forgotten?
