I'll admit that I like extremes
When you go too far, when I don't have time
I'm running on little sleep at the moment
Brew me a coffee so I can perk up
And then the handstand, turned over, headfirst
In front of me, a tightrope with no net, but I'm standing above it
With a somersault forward, tilting, I catch myself again
And I stay in balance
Sometimes, I'm much too awake, sometimes, much to tired
Now and again, I dive down, sometimes, I go flying
At times, a bit under, at times, a bit over
But always in balance
My feelings are a balancing act
They swing back and forth
But between tiredness and euphoria
I don't want to stand still, I'd rather go too fast
And then the handstand, turned over, headfirst
In front of me, a tightrope with no net, but I'm standing above it
With a somersault forward, tilting, I catch myself again
And I stay in balance
Sometimes, I'm much too awake, sometimes, much to tired
Now and again, I dive down, sometimes, I go flying
At times, a bit under, at times, a bit over
But always in balance
Then the handstand, turned over, headfirst
And I stay in balance
Sometimes, I'm much too awake, sometimes, much to tired
Now and again, I dive down, sometimes, I go flying
At times, a bit under, at times, a bit over
But always in balance
Sometimes, I'm much too awake, sometimes, much to tired
Now and again, I dive down, sometimes, I go flying
At times, a bit under, at times, a bit over
But always in balance
