With your creatures,
Especially Brother Sun
And his light.
You illuminate us by him,
So that the beauty and splendour
Bring the sign
Of you, Highest Lord.
Be praised, my Lord,
For Sisters Moon and Stars,
That you have created in heavens
Fair and beautiful.
Be praised for Brother Wind,
Air, clouds, and rough weather
That give sustainance to your creatures.
Be praised, my Lord
For our Sister Water,
She is chaste, very useful
And precious.
Be praised for Brother Fire
That lights the night for us,
And is beautiful, plaful,
Firm and strong.
Be praised, my Lord,
For our Mother Earth,
For her who sustains us
And governs us
Be praised, my Lord,
She bears diverse fruit,
Many colourful flowers,
And green herbs.
Be praised for those
That forgive in the name of your love
Bearing weakness
And trials
And blessed are they
Who walk in peace
That from you, Good Lord,
They receive the crown.
Be praised, My Lord
For corporal Death,
From which no-one that lives
Can escape
And blessed will be those
That do Your will
That Sister Death
will not harm them.
