Id Agat [Let It Go] lyrics

Nix lucet alb(a) in monte (hac) nocte,

Non videtur vestigium.

Regnum solitudinis,

Et videtur regina sum.

Ventus (similis) versanti tempestat(i) intus fremit.

Non poteram cohibere,

Temptavisse scit.

Ne intrent, ne videant,

Es puella bona quae semper tu.1

Cela, noli sentire, ne sciant.

Ah! Iam sciunt...

Id agat, id agat,

Non poss(um) id diutius tenere.

Id agat, id agat,

Avert(e) et ianuam claude.

Non curo,

Quid dicturi sunt.

Tempestas furat,

Frigid(a) alio (me) numquam vexavit.

Ridicul(um) omnia (quomodo),2

Videntur parva.

Timores (quae olim) imperaverunt (mihi),

Non possunt (me) facer(e) ullo (modo).

Tempus videre (quid) possim agere,

Spectare fines et inrumpere.

Non ius, (non) malum, (non) leges mihi,

Libera!

Id agat, id agat,

S(um) una cum vent(o) et caelo.

Id agat, id agat,

Non videbis fluentem.

Hic stoque,

Hic manebo.

Tempestas furat...

Vis mea vertat per aerem in terram.3

Anima vertat (in) fractalibus gelidis passim.4

(Et) mens format similis flatui gelid(o) una:

Numquam redeo,

Est in praeterita.

Id agat, id agat,

Ub(i) ordiar aurora.5

Id agat, id agat,

Puell(a) egit perfecta.

Hic sto,

In luce dies.

Tempestas furat!

Frigid(a) alio numquam vexavit.

1. 'Esse' has no gerund and is therefore left out entirely.2. As the sentence is so long already, "some distance" is excluded.3. 'Vertere' is used throughout in the sense of "spinning" and is not directly literal. This is because any Latin verb with this meaning is passive and therefore very clunky and wordy.4. 'Fractalis' - invented word meaning "fractal".5. 'Aurora' is in the general Ablative to give a sense of 'cum' instead of using '(similis) aurorae' [Dative] to keep with the rhyme scheme.
