They act out lives in packs
As hyenas do in a clique
Their laughter disquieting
Is a betrayal most vicious
For all outside are prey
Lest they encounter a foe
An adversity, one greater
Then they injured, turn back
They turn upon themselves
With two faces, two voices
To strike hard when inattentive
Going brutally for the throat
Their actions of hidden intent
They're derisive laughter haunting
Pacing back and forth relentless
Looking for weakness in everything
They owe no allegiance anywhere
A dog eat dog world at any time
Smiling, snarling faces of fangs
Scavengers savagely unjust
Each finds fate amongst their peers
For in the end their demise is shared
By those they would deem fellow beings
Torn apart without a barbaric care
