In vastness of the oceans
Born in the swirling blues
An enormity beyond yet
No comprehensible measure
Layered in the aerial sphere
Gaining velocity respiratory
Coming quickly to the land
A swathe destructive goes
Rains in deluge pour forth
That gorge the inland flows
Then the sea swells over
'Twix them floods do come
The walls of wind and water
Give way to uneasy stillness
That is the momentary eye
It rebounds to gales again
When the whole is then had
The waters high, slowly retreat
Left are remnants reminisced
In waves of ebbing demarcation
So there is to rebuild again
Civilization and storm collide
A date once more to be, unknown
Confronting the tempest yet anew
