For the goodness of men the cost is little

The evil in men, the cost so very great

As if an epidemic both can be passed on

One creates and renews, trusting

The other degrades and debases

No great pandemic could rival malevolence

That is kindled in a corrupted spirit

The senses deny the mind, deny reason too

The stimuli that grants wisdom earned

Look within to find the cancerous cause

Goodness is truly infectious as well
