A game of chess
Means strategy
Each square hides something big
In laughter and games
In tears and betrayal
You learn from the mistakes you've made
How did it happen
When chess took its form in India a long time ago?
Two princes were feuding, such is the story
About the holy sigil of the realm
And [their] father and mother
They lamented and cried like all us parents do
They begged, "so stop before someone dies"
But still a brother died
"What have you done?"
His mother was beyond herself
"Alas, your crime is big,
No, never will your father be able to forgive you"
"Father, try to understand
He wanted to kill me"
"No, you have to leave
You were my son
But I reject you"
He left
After some time he returned and made a counter-attack
With the help of little soldiers painted in lacquer
That were placed on a chequered table he could explain his brother's cruel plan
And thus he created chess
