Happy as anything,
Happy despite anything,
Happy, Happy, Happy...
It must be!
I want it!
My love, for both of us.
Happy to have
At last a piece
Of heaven, of love, of joy.
Happy as anything,
Happy anywhere
Through you!
The best and the worst, we'll share it.
It's what they call loving each-other for keeps1
But for me, from now on the worst
Would be to lose the best,
Being there close to you
And crying for joy because of it.
Happy as anything,
Happy despite anything,
Happy, Happy, Happy...
It must be!
I want it!
My love, for both of us.
Happy tomorrow
For everything or for nothing
As long as you're there.
You'll see, you'll see...
Happy as anything,
Happy to the last
For you...
1. I would say "what they call true love" but someone would be bound to call that a mistralslation because the French doesn't include "grand" and they were taught at scholl that "true love" was "grand amour" so I've gone a bit literal here
