Driving around
Have we passed Frankfurt already?
Break? No, not possible!
Turn the cassette over
The landscape here is fucking brill
TOYS R US? Weird
Accident
How many days do we still have to go?
Stormy sky
In Cologne we can go to the Mexican afterwards
Stone age discoveries in the Werra valley 1
Passing Kamen Cross on the left 2, HR3 is playing on the radio 3
In Frankenhöhe we can get lots of schnitzel! 4
Superplus petrol and then quickly up to Hamburg
Jesus loves you
Where the ships and the fish sleep at the harbour
Ski-wear at Hans Albers square 5
Breakfast tyrants and Sorgenbrecher too 6
You old Hamburg, our darling city
Where the ships and the fish sleep at the harbour
The Black Forest
We have to be there at five o'clock
Cows? Cows? Cows?
Not hip hop again!
Oh, I want to go home! Me, too!
How do you get to Ex 'n' Pop 7 from Monheim 8
Annuss Fleisch 9
Hey, there’s an artificial lake on the right! No time
Just because we don't have any training, we do all this shit
Ground fog
Someone’s calling me tonight
Passing Kamen Cross on the left, HR3 is playing on the radio
In Frankenhöhe we can get lots of schnitzel!
Super Plus petrol and then quickly up to Hamburg
Jesus loves you
Where the ships and the fish sleep at the harbour
Ski-wear at Hans Albers square
Breakfast tyrants and Sorgenbrecher too
You old Hamburg, our darling city
Where the ships and the fish sleep at the harbour
You vain Hanseatic League 10
Everyone wants you
And you know it
And you enjoy it
And you like it
And you need it
You sexy Hamburg
1. Werratal is a valley around the Werra river in Hessen (near Frankfurt).2. Kamener Kreuz is a traffic interchange near the city of Kamen which is in Nordrhein-Westfalen.3. HR3 (or hr3) is a German radio station in Hessen that plays pop music. I think that at the time of this song it was the only German station that played music all night long.4. Frankenhöhe (the Franconian heights) are hills in Southern Germany (including Bavaria). 5. Hans-Albers-Platz is a square in Hamburg near the Reeperbahn. Hans Albers was one of the most popular German actors of all time. He was also a singer. 6. Sorgenbrecher is a pub in St. Pauli (near the Reeperbahn). Apparently, breakfast tyrants refers to the fact that Hamburg musicians would meet up for a drink at breakfast!7. Ex 'n' Pop was a hip Berlin club. Apparently Nick Cave was a regular there in the 80s. 8. Monheim is a city in Nordrhein-Westfalen (Western Germany).9. Annuss Fleisch was a meat company located in Unna (Nordrhein-Westfalen) which is now known as Frischezentrum Unna. 10. The Hanseatic League was a merchant guild organisation. It is important in the history of Hamburg, as being one of the main ports in Hansa helped the city to become rich and powerful.
