I sit on top of the city and watch
how the world burns,
as the rays of sunlight
pierce through the clouds of smog.
I watch the streets, the places, the walls,
I've heard this noise before.
I love the scents of morning,
but they still decay in the earth.
Only I am my present,
and the days get shorter and shorter.
The picture is unclear, the signal is weak
but I want to change.
I am falling downwards
and I can feel, my bones are the brake.
I search for my ticket,
lest I get this again tomorrow.
"Be careful, the doors are closing!"
I can see the light,
but this is just the early morning ride.
The city shakes up the first bus
as it goes across the Danube,
in it the exhaust gas
chokes the passengers.
I watch the hostile eyes,
these unfriendly faces.
I know enough about you already,
and you will decay in the earth too!
Only I can be my tomorrow,
but the days get shorter and shorter.
The picture is unclear, the signal is weak,
but I want to change.
I am falling downwards
and I can feel, my bones are the brake.
I search for my ticket,
lest I get this again tomorrow.
"Be careful, the doors are closing!"
I can see the light,
but this is just the early morning ride.
