The rider holds his horse deep in his heart
where could he find a better friend to share his secrets
He feed him wild barley and four leaf clover,
and had his saddle adorned with jewels and shining shells
He was white; he was snow white, he was fast and awake
he galloped through the naked mountains, and escaped his own shadow
On a ill fated day beneath a fig tree,
he crossed a snake which gave its deadly bite
Five minutes had not yet passed, yet it felt like a eternity.
The rider strokes the horses lifeless corps and begins to mourn
"Comrade confide in me, where are you going? Tell me where are you leaving for?"
"Let us pledge this oath, that in time I will come find you or you will come find me."
Head bowed he returns to his home & bowed he opens his door
he nails his windows shut and drinks himself into oblivion
The vulture's scavenged the horses corps;
leaving behind only its skeleton & tail
Meanwhile, a craftsman was passing by who had been schooled in Cremona;
in the art of crafting violins and bows that would last a lifetime
He saw the hair of its tail, it was white and silky;
which he took and made fine bows, one by one
It took two years it took for the rider to open a window.
On the first Tuseday of the month he attended a local festival.
They had lute plays who wanted to be invited to play,
there was also a violinist; who's talent captured everyones attention
"Health and joy to the violinist. A lot of money I will give.
I want to listen your best; might it calm my soul"
Ten times he passed his bow with resin
With pride he placed the violin onto his chin
He begins to draw up & down with his bow,
and creates a melody that turned everyone's world upside-down.
The rider proceeds to dance and throws bundles of money at the violinist,
he hears the horses neigh and loses his mind.
