Look here, we have our new beautiful world
Look here, we have the boy, a true artist
The world seems strange to a friend of order
Such an ugly and strange mixture of colours and shapes
He fetches his palette, picks up his canvas
The paintbrush in his grip, a bit of paint tube
Better for one if one makes it easy for one
He has gotten himself a tightly twisted precept
And now he tells you to wake up
Because you're on the wrong side of the scale
And your opinion has stained itself
He doesn't care about your fuckin' teaching aids
Everything which you have learned is worth its' weight in water
And what you're painting now is made of watercolour
But look, here is our new beautiful world, look here, we have the boy, a true artist
[Chorus:]
Oh, but dear God, it has to end
It's starting to look like goddamn lying
Art is no substitute
It is enough as it is, oh my god
It has to end
It's starting to look like goddamn lying
Art is no substitute
It is enough as it is, oh my god
A bright spark yells "darky", the boy jumps
Here, portraits will be made, the boy finds his true image
What do you mean "denigrated"? He's just colouring in
The boy is so docile, there are already lines there
The colouring book has figures and motifs
Educational and good, suddenly it's been painted there
Think what colours there are when you're tracing something
Why do that when you just need two of them?
The boy thinks, throws the one away
Which doesn't fit into the mold, because that's not strange... right?
Think blue with a clear conscience
Think red and earn black, go ahead, but
The boy has you inside his frame, calculates his calculus and copies
So you go ahead and think that you're a unique individual
When he paints your portrait, and you're so pretty in his picture
[Chorus]
Convoluting with colours, nuances and scales
In my portrait, with my attempt to portray it
He laughs at mine
He's figured it all out
It is black and white
It is white and black
But I have plainly seen how you do everything, unmethodically
Sitting there by yourselves, painting him black-and-white
Then the amount of boys will increase drastically
If you yourselves choose to paint him in black-and-white
He wants to paint me in black and white
He wants to paint me in black and white
You want to paint him in black and white
Should we paint everything in black and white?
[Chorus]
