Why shout, when no one is listening
To what we're saying?
It seems to me, we've been dead a long time.
We were set on fire and have been burning slowly.
Fires start when there are a lot of us.
Then cities become like crematoria and bazars.
And everyone is used to not paying attention,
When they don't listen to you, why shout?
We can go silent, sing,
Stand still, or run, no matter, the burning goes on.
A giant blue whale can not break the net.
Surrender, or not, the burning goes on.
And when again the heavens absorb
Words and wires,
And again begins to rain down on us
Answers and water,
And you suddenly start to understand something,
Have come up with an insight, and want to start shouting,
Well, shout! But no one will be able to understand you.
Nobody out there wants to change anything.
You can go silent, sing,
Stand still, or run, no matter, the fire keeps burning.
A giant blue whale can not break this net.
Surrender, or not, the burning continues.
We can remain silent, sing,
Stand still, or run, no matter, the burning continues.
Burning's okay, but not totally, otherwise, life gets dull.
Burning's okay, just not totally, because we need the light.
