A family by marriage
Appears slowly by the days
It grows in emotional strength
And disappears suddenly
In the maylay of divorce
All the relics of the past
Left abandoned hurriedly
By design or in chaos
Haunting the present
Their future is unknown
No more "Papa" echoing
No more laughter, smiling
Solitude as if sentenced
A silent procession of inquires
Amid treasured memories
Lessons taught and learned
Life's values purveyed
On youth's permanent image
A legacy unseen
The hope of some purpose
To the pain now felt
That ends only in final breath
