Turning coloured leaves
They fall in chilly breezes
Amidst the frigid rain
That penetrates it all
Animals disappear to sleep
Their foraging stayed so
Soon the long slumber
Through snow and ice near
Hearty vegitation endures
Many swoon and perish
Unable to adapt, to cope
From their majesty befallen
The cessation of life creeps
By the days each bit by bit
Easily unnoticed by those of us
A matter of survival to others
Soon will be frigid and frost
A dreary dream for a soul
To hope for a sunny day
When green renews again
