This skyless, horizonless street
Was a river of crystalline waters
Green sierra soaked by fog
Water spring was bleeding from its source
My brilliant studded ring
Are the eyes of Captain Corisco
It is the light that lights my work
In this jungle of steel and antennas
Hummingbird, I'm crying about your feathers
Melted on the asphalts unwisdom
But
I have my crystalline mirror
That a baiana* sent me from Maceio
It has a light that enlighten me
At noon lightens sunlight
That gives me the poison and courage
To turn this immense carousel
Float and be paralyzing gas
And to know that the city is made of paper
To have the light of the past and present
To travel through the paths of heaven
To harvest three twinkling stars
And pin them on the flap of my hat
I will clear the horizon blackness
It's so bright the stone on my ring
