Merry Christmas, I wish a merry christmas
For all those who long away
Somewhere else, warm and safe
Where you can sleep
And no one quarrels
Right now
Dear you, I know that you are crying
That it is hard to feel faith
When everything is cold and dark
And you are weak
But you, it will not always be like that
For one day when you grow up
A table will be set
In your home where you live
With your family, I believe
That one day when you grow up
They will gather around your table
And the christmas you never got
You shall have
Someday when you grow up
Merry christmas, I want ot wish a merry christmas
For little me. when I was a child
Mother gave us everything and more besides
But something was missing
I missed my father the most
Right then
When everyone was sleeping on christmas morning
Silently forward on toes I sneaked down
And sat at the foot of the tree and looked out
I remeber I promised
That everything will be like before
For one day when I grow up
A table will be set
In my home where I live
With my family, I believe
That one day when I grow up
They shall gather around my table
And the christmas we never got
We shall have
Someday when I grow up
Stars and light
It is warm in our house
But out there it blows cold
We gather around the food
Dance for a while around the tree
Oh, the children they wait for Santa
And long to see what they will recieve
Merry christmas and a really happy new year, oh
Yes, one day when you grow up
A table will be set
In your home where you live
With your family, I believe
Because today when I am big
I want to wish these words
To those who may have it difficult
Merry christmas and a happy new year
