It was spring, and two swifts1,
on those lustful lips,
were building a nest.
You brought spring to my life,
but everything you said
was untrue.
I built palaces with water and sand,
but the rain came and tore them to the ground.
I built palaces next to you, but what a shame,
the north wind blew, and the wave drowned them.
It was spring, but winter quickly came,
and this separation
nestled in between us.
The spring that ended quickly,
and unfortunately,
the rain changed everything.
I built palaces with water and sand,
but the rain came and tore them to the ground.
I built palaces next to you, but what a shame,
the north wind blew, and the wave drowned them.
1. A swift is a type of bird.
