None know what loneliness is
Lest disabled they become
For all the liabilities then
Become reality's plight
For money will but trickle in
As to relief, but basic needs
And none for eccentricities
Nor socialization's debt
As for fragile feat to move by
And a corporeal prison worn
They are fearful reminders seen
That most men silently avoid
For it is the delicate balance
That changes in an instant so
A being once strong and vital
Into a hulk that they know
So as not to impede or discern
A shuned hermit's existence it is
That convienience culls the herd
And loyalty and trust stumble so
The limits inescapable take hold
As though sullied in heavy chain
If a mind is free it's trapped inside
No freedom, no pardon to be gained
There are those who may be caged
Whose actions gave it cause
They will coddle for self relief
To lessen culpability's claim
But life goes on with little choice
To give up and quit, or survive
But it's a meager sentence given
Lived between often blurry lines
