You should not have any other gods other than me!

You should not mishandle the name

Of the Lord, your God!

To those who misuse His name,

The Lord will not let it go unpunished!

You should (keep) the Sabbath Day holy!

You should honor your father and your mother

Upon which it goes well with you,

And (that) you (may) live long on earth!

You should not kill!

You should not break apart a married couple1!

You should not steal!

You should not speak false testimony against

Your neighbor!

You should not covet your neighbor's house!

You should not covet your neighbor's wife,

Servant, maid, cattle, or everything that is theirs!2

I, the Lord, your God, am a zealous God!

Those among you who hates me so;

The sins of the fathers (will) haunt their children

Till the 3rd or 4th generation!

But those who love me and keep my commandments,

Likewise, will I do to them unto the thousandth generation!
