Such meager forms of life
Algae that give it continuity
That create and keep it so
They generate much of air
The oxygen that maintains us
The burden shared by other lives
These centric and pennate ones
Deemed the Jewels of the Sea
They are Living Opals symmetric
The oceans floors layered, littered
With the remnants of their shells
Attest to their flourishing medley
They'd sink helpless in a stagnate ocean
Gliding on water, suspended by currents
In spring blooming that nature ceases
When silicone does fall short its might
The aggregations drift to depths below
To find stilled rest e'er in sea beds
