For countryside I'm leaving, to become closer to land;

I'm finding out the virtues of field herbs on site.

I'll throw the fragrant thyme into the flame.

Smoke's slowly rising aloft, and that means I'm right.

I'll find the root of angelica - make me more joyful today;

Boughs of a birch tree, hence! Demons, aside!

But if it's getting too dark to read to you, I'll find the way,

Then I will open [the] door, and there stands the night.

Who is intoning to me?

Joy to all those who're seeking; courage to those who're asleep.

Just thirteen days are left until the full moon.

I thought I was dreaming about it,
