Do you hear the bells ringing?
I don't hear them anymore
Do you see the fields shining?
I don't see them anymore
A pale wind, it envelopes me
It drives me away from here
Out of this narrow valley,
There's nothing else for me here.
Over streets, dust and fields,
long, the way extends
The mountain ahead,
The valley behind,
Forward-my mind pushing me skywards
The sun climbs, we climb with it,
Up the mountain with a steady step,
We can't turn back anymore
A last look, no way back;
For every path that one steps on,
An old one must end.
The fog climbs out of the forests,
The bells of the valley, they're silent,
Silence surrounds me like a blessing,
I look back one last time.
The sun climbs....
