Where's the decency!? Tell it to me1
I've been looking for it for over 30 years in this journey ...
Where's the decency!? 'cause i would turn to flames all the money
When i see that the blues eyes of mom' sheads tears
Where's the decency, i wonder does it smillin' so filthy
When, driven by needs, you're pickin up the breed from
the ground !?....
The dignity fades quietly-slowly
When you're pushed from the back in an "wheelchair"
Where's the decency? .."And who's to blame ?"2
When you hold by hand your kid, who cries in
front of a shop window...
Where's the decency?...Maybe it "starts into mondays"
When you don't have money to help your old parents,
Where's the decency,...when your only "key"
Doesn't open anymore any door"
Sleepin' into coldness on the alley
Where's the decency?...It's said that it's alive ..
So where's the decency, tell it to me!!!!?
Daniel Lazar Chorus
Take me further away, make me forget
Take me to a world where all is good
With the music in my soul and the mood for jokes
My world it comes crumbling!
Cheloo
Where's the "played" decency, when in a worthy manner
You've finished the high school and you end up doing the
dirty work!?
Side by side into poverty, never in good times
With your soul mate, sharing the tears" and the bread..
You look for the decency by the winter time stuffed into a tram
And you're forced to reckon' that you CAN'T and that you don't HAVE
Where's the decency!? Maybe it's into a "new coat"
Maybe it's into the broken shoes, when wind blows and rains
Where's the decency!? Maybe it hides underneath the bed
When you're sick and POOR, your illness doesn't have
"ANY CURE"
Where's the decency when you have hopes and you want to
look sure/assured?
And you've worked a lifetime for everybody, "to die by yourself?
Didn't lived much, it all was a road
Time "runs" , alongside us, you live the moment !!
I'm pissed off, torn of work, and on my word
I'm lookin for my decency when i'm singing for ya'll ,
at my wit's end
Daniel Lazar Chorus
Take me further away, make me forget
Take me to a world where all is good
With the music in my soul and the mood for jokes
My world it comes crumbling!
1. This song describes Romania ... "the where's the decency" troughout the whole song is in fact "where's the normality" They talk about poverty describing teh political system from my country "And you're forced to reckon' that you CAN'T and you don't HAVE" foreced by coruption among the leadership in my country ... even though you want you can't ... cause you're forced to not be able and to say that you don't have..Hope that i've bring some illumination about the meaning behind this masterpiece song2. When you're pushed from the back in an "wheelchair"
Where's the decency? .."And who's to blame ?" these lines and the next one are related they are ironically and adressed to the politic class the leadership of the country "And who's to blame(for these)?..well i guess coruption etc
