Far, far away beyond the sea
Lies a golden country!
No suffering children in its schools.
And elders swim in riches.
Cigarettes grow on roses,
Chocolate grows on palms.
And everyone reborn to there
Backwards isn't keen to come.
Brandywine rivers flow there,
Champagne shimmer lakes,
And ducks already roasted
Will straight to your table fly.
People there are not fed by idea.
Nor tomorrow's promise is meal.
They aren't aware of Somebody
And that Somewhere we have to go.
There, blue, blue sky,
And in the evening stars shine high.
And everyone reborn to there
Backwards isn't keen to come.
They don't know the word "worker".
Don't know and don't wish to learn!
Far, far away beyond the sea
Lies a golden country!
No suffering children in its schools.
And elders swim in riches.
