Custodians it's so, all we are
For none can bear a hand tense
That moral means shall touch
To keep a grasp e'er lasting
Let it be the earth, an abode
Or its possessions close kept
In the change of a single age
It all will pass on unfettered
The past's cherished voice
Will be silenced to anonymity
Only to a careful custodian
That will take on duties incurred
There is no claim to hold
To boast or balk of that
Treasures tracked and traced
To maintain their earthly tract
There are those who chase
After fashionable prestige
Spending for luxury's lure
Awing easily with fool's gold
See those greyed spending
To flaunt for envy's plight
Coveting their goods grand
To capture what is e'er lost
But truth unrealized abounds
Availed in the unachievable
No amount of money gained
Could ever buy back youth
