I firmly believe Lord
That from your generous mind,
All this world was born,
That from your artist hand,
Of primitivist painter
Beauty bloomed,
The stars and the moon
The homes and the lagoons,
The boats sailing
Over the river, to the sea,
The huge coffee plantations
The white cotton fields
And the forests mutilated
By the criminal axe.
I believe in you, architect, engineer
Craftmaker, carpenter, builder and shipowner.
I believee in you, builder of the thought,
Of the music and the wind, of the peace and the love.
I believe in you partner,
Human Christ, Worker Christ,
conqueror of death,
With the great sacrifice,
you procreated the new man,
For the liberation,
You're resurrecting,
in each arm rising,
To defend the people
against the exploiting rule,
Because you're alive in the ranch,
in the factory in the school
I believe in your truceless fight
I believe in your resurrection.
