****This is tricky, as the literal meaning is "we kill ourselves in the darkness" or "we kill each other in the darkness", but that just doesn't make much sense in English. In Spanish, sometimes "matar" is used to mean quench, like hunger or thirst ("matar la sed"); to satisfy something after a rough go without it (i.e. the reason it makes sense in the song). In this case, it somewhat retains its literal meaning along with an idea of good, passionate sex.
