The voice of winter
Ringing loudly
Steadily the chimes sing
The winds of autumn
Blowing constant, chilled
They sweep the earth
Cooling the air of summer
The sky's blue, intense
Life's homage in fall
Nothing remains the same
Every day's end is shorter
The sun's rays bend more
Winds exhausted wither
The still of those nights
A chill slithers in
A cloudless sky glowing
With the light of many stars
So crystals will shine gleaming
In the morning's frosty dew
The webs droop of spinsters
The chimes are stilled then
Webbed in hoarfrost hold
Until the warming sunshine
Breaks its grip briefly told
A breeze breaks the silence
