Character is the strength within
Not equal for all men, in living
Nor equal in their dying as well
The inner fortitude from failure
For victories alone teach little
An easy road brings on lethargy
What is fraught with struggle
Hardens the hide of the spirit
The weeping wounds heal o'er
An asset in times of turmoil
When others may falter fast
Experience and righteousness
Those that tarry, spill and sputter
As the weak of winter wilderness
Fall prey to truth's stone cold fate
Character is the strength within
Not equal for all men, in living
Nor equal in their dying as well
