Against you
I have a fighting heart, a fighting heart1
And more blood than an innocent who's dead in your arms
The fighting heart
The fighting heart
And every time there's a part of me
Which doesn't come back, my skin isn't chasing after silk anymore
Time passes me by
Truce of being with you
And I live
The fighting heart, the fighting heart
At night I live in your desires, in your convoys
The fighting heart
The fighting heary
Feeding on you, of only being naked between your hands
To be elected by a slight majority, amd it's killing me
Truc of being with you
And you see
The fighting heart, the fighting heart
It's under our skin, in Jericho
Or wherever you want
The fighting heart
It stands straight, like me and you, dressed in joy
But dressed with the belief that it'll be cold, some nights
Truce of being with you
And you see
I have a fighting heart, a fighting heart
And more blood than an innocent who's dead in your arms
The fighting heart
The fighting heart
The fighting heart
1. 'Le coeur combat' literally means 'the heart fight', but it doesn't make any sense. When you listen to the song, it sounds like 'le coeur qu'on bat', 'the heart which is being beaten up'. 'Le coeur qui bat' would mean 'the beating heart'. I translated it with 'fighting heart', otherwise the sentences wouldn't make sense in English, but I guess it's up to interpretation.
