It's a country I must tell you about
Because I've it in my heart to a point you can't imagine
When I'm down there , it's unbelievable
It's like there wasn't a world anymore
It is not a land for morons moaning
Against the rain or God only knows what
I do much prefer it under a crying sky
Swept by a nor'wester wind
Down there it's the sea that gives
And takes back when and what she wants
And this helluva death knell that resonates
When She had took back someone , everyone knows it
Down there you better walk straight
Cause the natives will soon make you understand it
They saw a lot of peoples passing
Settlers and even British ones .
And then sometimes , all of this violence
That makes you raise the fist on the plaza
That reminds you that there's a distrust
After the language , they target the race .
And France wasn't so ashamed
To put both of our feet in the shit
In case the idea of independence
May seduce us a little bit
Cause this land doesn't like the conquerors
Of venal greed
Since a teenage duchess got a bun in the oven
Because of a certain royal person
Her freedom in Paris is the ocean
That joins the stars during the night
And her land that promised
To be a part of France forever
It's thanks to the screams of seabirds
When they get back on the shore
That I understood hell may exist
But that it's still better than a golden cage
And even when each day is a war
That can only be read on the faces
We don't speak of her misery
And even less of its bravery
If I'm over telling a little bit , it doesn't matter
I told you in the beginning that I love this land
In all this mess of this shitty country
This land is warmer to me than the girl I drag
I will never cease to praise this land
For it I would even give a lot slaps
To the first bitch that would try to destroys it
Or to enchain it
