From the soot pit at little Adalbert
A spark winkles:
Come, I’ll tell you a fairytale
The fairytale’s going to be a long one
There was once Baba Jaga
She had a hut made of butter
And this hut was full of Wonder
Hush, the spark has went out
Little Adalbert looks and wonders
His eyes filled with tears
Why have you lied to me so
Little Adalbert will remember [that]
I will never believe you again
Oh small sparkle
You shine for a moment, then you go out
And this is the entire fairytale
Silver-haired grandpa plaits the nets
Into an amazing mosaic
He continues to tell the fairytale
To the troubled little Adalbert
There was once a princess
She fell in love with a busker
The king held a wedding for them
And that’s the end of the fairytale…
