"bailo" meaning "I dance", sounds a lot like "valió", meaning "to be worth", so "bailo la pena" is kind of a play on words on "it was worth it". that's why "I dance to my sorrow" may sound like a kind of weird sentence, the verb was conjugated that way with the sole porpuse of making that play on words i think.2. saying "que" at the beggining of each sentence is an expression that doesn't really exist in english, unless we add something at the beggining. so, imagine that before all of these sentences, there is a "I hope....[that] !
