Time goes on, running his marathon,
sometimes I feel older than him
For how many years have I just kept asking
and I still know so little.
And other times I feel juvenescent,
like a boy in front of the school railing,
who dreamed about first kissing
and his first jeans.
That boy aimed higher and had a great goal,
he sang and lived fully and with all his might,
maybe I still have a bit of him left in me,
that nice time will come back to me.
Forever young, I want to be, forever young,
to defy the calendar once and for all,
only youth, never old age.
Forever young, I keep trying to be, forever young
despite the signs of passing of time on my face,
forever young.
As life went on, I walked a lot of paths,
I can answer any question by now
and I know that life is not just black and white,
it comes in many colors.
But so many colors I just haven't enjoyed yet,
what I promised to myself and then did not do,
How many dreams I still have and therefore I keep chasing
an unfulfilled desire.
Forever young, I want to be, forever young,
to defy the calendar once and for all,
only youth, never old age.
Forever young, I keep trying to be, forever young
despite the signs of passing of time on my face,
forever young.
To defy the calendar once and for all,
only youth, never old age.
Forever young, I keep trying to be, forever young
despite the signs of passing of time on my face,
forever young.
I keep on trying to be forever young
despite the signs of passing of time on my face,
forever young.
