God is being born, the power is petrified
The Lord of Heaven is naked
The fire solidifies, the radiance darkens
The Eternal is bound by boundaries
Despised, covered in glory
Mortal King of the centuries
And the Word became flesh
And lived among us
In what are you better than the Earthlings, oh Heaven?
God has forsaken your happiness
He entered among [his] beloved people
Participating in its hardships and toils
He suffered not little, not little
Because we are ourselves guilty
And the Word became flesh
And lived among us
Born in a miserable barn
He was given a manger instead of a craddle
Who is He, what surrounds him?
Cattle, shephards and hay
Oh poor ones, it happened to you
That you greeted him before the rich
And the Word became flesh
And it lived among us
Later on the kings, who were seen
Were going through the crowd of simple folk
Carrying a tribute for the Lord
Myrrh, incense and gold
God has mixed them
With the sacrifices of the peasants
And the Word became flesh
And lived among us
Raise your hand, oh child of God
Bless [this] beloved land
By good advices, by good being
Support its strenght by yours
[Bless] our home and all our belongings
And Your villages and cities
And the Word became flesh
And lived among us
