There is a small house like this
with many little coloured windows
and a little woman small like this
with two big eyes to see with.
And there is a little man small like this
who always comes back late from work
and he has a hat small like this,
within it a dream to be fulfilled
and the more he thinks about it, the more he can't wait.
“My love, you don't have to be in distress,
this life is a chain,1
sometimes it hurts a bit.
Look how calm I am,
even though I go through the woods,
with the help of the good God,
I’m always looking out for the wolf.”
Beware of the wolf. Beware of the wolf.
Living together. Living together.
Down there there's a meadow small like this
with a loud noise of cicadas
and a perfume sweet and small like this.
My love, summer has arrived.
My love, summer has arrived.
and the two of us, lying here making love
in the midst of this sea of cicadas.
This love small like this
but so big that, to me, it seems like I’m flying,
and the more I think about it, the more I can't wait.
“My love, you don't have to be in distress,
this life is a chain,
sometimes it hurts a bit.
Look how calm I am,
even though I go through the woods,
with the help of the good God,
I’m always looking out for the wolf.”
Beware of the wolf. Beware of the wolf.
Living together. Living together.
