You and me and the wind
Went out to the grasslands
To breath in the soul of the wheat.
To dance with the brook water caper,
To paw with the sheep on the stubble,
Went out to get away.
The three of us in barefoot outdoor singing -
The wind and you and me.
I picked you a thorn and a flower,
You kissed a lamb on the way,
And a jackal escaped us on our path.
We wept with a tree in the fall,
We laughed and kept on going,
Me and the wind and you.
The three of us in barefoot outdoor singing
The wind and you and me.
You and me and the wind
Had not taken another moment to rest,
We devoured roads and fields.
Suddenly the sea appeared,
In front of the waves we knelt,
The wind kept on moving alone...
And sailed with it a barefoot outdoor singing...
Only you and me were left.
