I draw a yellow sun
On a random sheet of paper
And it's easy to make a castle
Using five or six straight lines
I run the pencil around my hand
And make myself a glove
And if I make it rain
I'll have an umbrella
With only a couple of doodles
If a tiny drop of paint
Falls on a blue
Portion of the paper
I can imagine a beautiful seagull
Flying in the sky
In just a second
It flies away
Around the huge
North and South curve
I go with it
Traveling, Hawaii
Beijing or Istambul
I paint a sailboat
Sailing smoothly
So much sky and sea
In a green-blue shade
A beautiful pink and maroon
Airplane comes rising
Between the clouds
Colouring everything around it
With its flashing lights
All you have to do is imagine
That it's taking off, peacefully and beautifully
And that if we want it to
It will land
I draw a ship
On a random sheet of paper
Sailing off
With some good buddies
Drinking, happy with their lives
I can go from one America to the other
In just a second
I turn a simple compass
And make the world in a circle
A boy walks
And by walking comes to a wall
And just beyond it
Awaiting us
Lies the future
And the future is a spaceship
That we try to control
It doesn't have any time, or any mercy
Or even an arrival time
It changes our lives
Without asking for permission
And then it invites us
To laugh or to cry
On this road, it's not our duty to
Know or see what's coming next
Nobody really knows
Where it takes us in the end
We all walk
Down this beautiful path
In a watercolour
That one day, after all
Will fade away
I draw a yellow sun
On a random sheet of paper
(That will fade away)
And it's easy to make a castle
Using five or six straight lines
(That will fade away)
I turn a simple compass
And make the world
In a circle
(That will fade away)
