The ground is frozen,
Everything we touch is ice,
Only in my dreams do I hear the ice drops sing.
And the snow begins to fall,
And then it falls all day,
And beyond the wall of ice comes April.
And with him, he'll command Spring forth 1
And scatter the hordes of gray clouds.
When everyone looks into his eyes,
We stare at ourselves. 2
And [we] open our doors,
And so we sit, that our legs are without purpose.
And when everyone looks into his eyes,
We see the eyes of the Sun.
Our bodies are without wounds,
We take a hard step,
Only for a star to burn my chest.
But April will soon die,
Only to be reborn,
And it'll happen for eternity.
And with him, he'll command Spring forth,
And scatter the hordes of gray clouds.
When everyone looks into his eyes,
We stare at ourselves
And [we] open our doors,
And so we sit, that our legs are without purpose.
And when everyone looks into his eyes,
We see the eyes of the Sun.
1. "Him" refers to April. Don't tell me to change April's gender....I swear I'll lose it if someone asks me to change April's gender -_-2. Not sure here on what this means. Given this song is about the passing of winter, maybe it's a metaphor for how harsh humans are? That we "clear" out the evil but in the end, we caused it? Or maybe I'm looking to far into this.
