From amongst the ways to repent are
For the penitent to cry out continuously before God
With sobbing and supplications
And to practice charity in accordance with their means
And greatly distance [themself] from that with which they sinned
And to change their name
As if to say:
I'm a different person, I'm a different person
And I am not that same person who did those things
And I am not that same person who did those things
To change their actions
For the better and to a straight path
Exile themself from their place
[Being in] exile atones their sin
For it causes them
To be humble and unpretentious
And to change their name
As if to say:
I'm a different person, I'm a different person
And I am not that same person who did those things
And I am not that same person who did those things
Cry out continuously with all their might
With sobbing and supplications
I'm a different person
And I'm not that person who did those actions
Yesterday, I was distant
Today, [I am] close
