Looking to the stars
Distant planets aglow
Worlds of possibilities
Granting we're not alone
Hopes and aspirations
All given to silent stares
Field of depth's darkness
The grandeurous unknown
Yet in medial mentation
Fear's concept is too alien
Bearing malevolence all
Mutual destruction intent
Men view the world evil
With bad intentions given
Such is the nature of men
Fear begets quick violence
Men need no predation
They feed, eagerly feasting
Upon the blood of themselves
Let alone an alien presence
Speaking volumes of us
Unable to understand dark
Unable to see through fear
We are still waiting afraid
Who then would venture
So great a distance afar
A world of belligerence
Given to constant unrest
