Some would lie down on their back, some would do nothing but wander
Slave Ahmad would wake up early, and he would say “Ya Naseep”
Nobody would understand what “Ya Naseep” would mean
In that neighborhood, everybody would wear shirts.
One day, our slave Ahmad had a jacket sewn, because he can

While everybody else has been wearing shirts
Our slave Ahmad had his jacket covered with a linen, because he could

One day a poor died, and people got saddened
But all the people in the neighborhood could not find money for the cloth for burial.
Slave Ahmad said “Life is a lie” and took off his jacket.
He put the jacket on the poor and completed the burial
Finally everybody understood what “Ya naseep, ya Qismat” meant
Our slave Ahmad became Ahmad Bey
and his jacket became Ahmad Bey’s jacket
Ahmad Bey’s jacket became a lesson for the whole world
