Adapt is a mantra well known
That men should not falter
As victims in life's daily maze
Those who fail it prove Darwin
Their personal evolution extinct
A species of constant sorrows
Wisdom teaches of change
So parallels adaptation
So quells one's frustration
Alone there would be no growth
A soul like stagnant pools stilled
In a mindless matrix of illusions
As for the changes of today
They are the foundations of tomorrow
Edifices of ruins, or metropoli lost
Spent in the charge of eras
One cannot help but wonder why
They did not learn to adapt
