When one close, disappears, or is lost
We feel we must find them at all cost
Indeed there is care between them
Inseparable by earthly bounds so totem
An ardious search through all that follow
In erie corners, nooks, and dark hollows
Through all this and more to find that to hold
For at that time none more precious than gold
Upon discovery of being unfound
In secure place all strung around
Will anger be spared to lend to joy
Or selfishness as if cheated of a toy
Bear no rage upon your mortal treasure
Scold only so, and be happy of your leisure
For in finding curious stealings may appear
Puzzled thoughts from wandering dear
Is he happy or sad to see me back
Again to comfort me or to attack
Show then only love that pushed you on
To journey in quest of a destructive throng
Then to return with that so feeling great
For better times do not destroy but create
Be happy for the safe returned
Be wise for the lesson learned
None more, not less yet presented
Seek out that which is lost relented
Incorporate no more than needed
Remembering a cause so beloved defeated
Pillage nothing, care of all near
Grasp thy precious one so dear
Held close to thy bosom, it ensures
That loss no more be yours
